INTRODUCTION

Muslim Community of New Jersey (MCNJ) was established in 1992 as a non-profit organization, dedicated to religious and charitable purposes.

 

MISSION

To establish an Islamic Community Center to provide educational, social and spiritual environment to Muslims with a special emphasis on Muslim youth to prepare them for the challenges of education and maintaining a firm commitment towards Islamic values and ideologies.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES

By the Grace of Allah (swt) we currently have the following activities:
- Friday prayers offered in rented premises. More than 1000 Muslims offer Friday Prayers.
- Sunday Islamic School in rented premises, attended by more than 200 students along with daily (Monday through Thursday) lessons on Tilawat-e-Quran with Tajweed.
- Taraweeh & Eid Prayers in rented premises along with various community events.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES

PHASE I: IMMEDIATE, INSHALLAH
- Five times prayers.
- Quranic classes (Tajweed) for children and adults.
- Sunday Islamic school
- Friday prayers.
- Taraweeh prayers.
- Dars of quran and hadith by qualified scholars

PHASE II: IN A YEAR’s TIME INSHALLAH

- Day care Center.
- Workshop & trainings on Computer Education & Other Skills.
- Other activities will be added based on the need of the community and availability of funds.
