Eidul Fitr 2016 Prayer Details

Depending on the sighting of Shawwal moon Eidul Fitr will be either on Tuesday, July 5th or Wednesday, July 6th

The decision will be announced on the evening of Monday July 4th by 9:30 PM

Eid Salah Location: Merrill Park
Fairview Avenue, Woodbridge NJ

Salah Timings: 8:00AM

Please do following:

  • Bring your own prayer mats
  • Please come with wadhu
  • Follow instructions by Park Rangers & Volunteersmerrillpark
  • Bring chairs if needed
  • Car pool to reduce traffic
  • Donate generously to cover expenses.

Parking is FREE

Please pay your Fitra (Zakatul Fitr) before Eid Prayers
Fitra is a minimum of $10 per person and it should be given for every member of the family.

Eid-ul-Adha on Thursday Sept 24th, Eid Mubarak!

The HIJRI Calendar Committee has not received any report of confirm sighting for the blessed month of Dhul Hajja today and decided to complete 30 days of Dhul Qa’adah. Accordingly, Tuesday September 15th 2015 will be the first of Dhul Hajja 1436h, Day of Arafah (9th Dhul Hajja) will be on Wednesday September 23th and Eid-ul-Adha (10th Dhul Hajja) will be celebrated on Thursday September 24th, 2015 Insha’Allah.

May Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala accept Hajj from those who will be performing it this year and accept all their prayers. Ameen! Also, we pray for the maghfirah of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident in Masjad Al-Haram this year. Ameen!

General Body Meeting And Shura Elections 2015

Assalaam Alaikum Warahmatullah Wa Barkatahu,

Insha’Allah the Muslim Community of New Jersey will hold its 3rd quarter General Body meeting and Shura Election at MCNJ Masjid Bab-al-Rahmah in Fords, NJ on FridayOctober 2 2015 between Maghrib and Isha.  There are three (3) + (1 woman) seats that need to be filled.

All paid MCNJ members for the past one year or longer are eligible to stand in the election, nominate a candidate and vote for a candidate.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:mcnj_elections

  • Recitation of Qu’ran
  • President’s Welcome and Address
  • Finance Update
  • General Discussion/Q&A session
  • Election Polling will continue between Maghrib & Isha
  • Isha Salah
  • Polling Results Announced

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Nomination need to be made by 1 registered member (3+1 open seats)
  • Should be current registered member since September 2014
  • Nomination forms are available upon request from Br. Ozair Omarzai & Br .Najeeb or Download it from here
  • Submit the completed form to Br. Ozair Omarzai & Br. Najeeb by Sept 18, Maghrib salah.
  • The list of eligible nominees will be posted on Sept 21, insha’Allah
