MCNJ Condemns the Terrorist Attack in Orlando

On behalf of the Muslims Community of New Jersey (MCNJ), we would like to express our profound shock, sorrow, and condemnation of the murder of 50 innocent people and injuring of another 53 victims in Orlando, Florida. Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with the families of the deceased and the injured.

MCNJ wish to offer heartfelt condolences for the victims and their families whose loved ones have been taken so tragically. This individual does not represent Islam or Muslims in any sense. We as American Muslims condemn this worst act of mass murder in U.S. history in the strongest possible terms.

As the Qur’an states, “Whoever kills a person, it is as though he has killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind.” (Qur’an 5:32)

We reject the hate and anger that leads to this kind of acts of violence.

As Americans, we reiterate our commitment to peace, safety, and security of our nation, as well as our solidarity with fellow Americans. We pray for the safety and security for all Americans.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ozair Omazai President MCNJ [email protected]

Imam Asif Farewell Dinner Friday Oct 9th

Assalaam Alaikum Warahmatullah Wa Barkatahu,

It’s with mixed feelings and emotions we announce that our dear imam Asif will be leaving MCNJ and will be joining Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). This is a very good position that will provide him with a lot of opportunities and provide good national exposure.

In his new role he will be teaching Arabic and leading other religious programs for Islamic Learning Foundation wing of ICNA.

In the short time that imam Asif was with us, he was able to attract both youth and aged alike through his deep understanding of Quran and his pleasant personality. As a former student of late Dr. Israr and a PhD student of Quran, he was able to help a lot of community members through his Arabic classes, Tafseer halaqas, and Friday Family programs.

The community will certainly miss him. He has agreed to continue the Arabic classes and other programs at MCNJ on as needed basis.

We wish him best of luck and pray to Allah SWT to give him success. MCNJ will remain his community.

We invite you all to Farewell to Imam on Friday Oct 9th 2015
Venue: Masjid Bab-al-Rahmah Fords, NJ
Date: Oct 9th 2015
Time: After Isha (8:00PM)
Dinner: After the Salah
